YOUTH PROGRAMS

The Teen Advocacy Program (TAP) works on Staten Island with local schools, churches and community groups to provide individual and family counseling, HIV/AIDS education and prevention, leadership skills, peer support groups and recreation.

Our TASA Program provides case management services to pregnant and parenting teens on public assistance to assist them in caring for their child and helping them become more self-sufficient. We also provide crisis intervention and emergency housing to runaway youth.

The Teen Advocacy Program (TAP) offers a range of individual and group activities for youth, ages 11-21, on Staten Island. Individual services include counseling, crisis assistance, emergency shelter, peer support, parenting skills and case management services. Staff work on a strength based model providing youth with a safe and caring environment to explore solutions to their problems. Group activities include: Leadership Training, Drug Abuse Prevention, Family Life Education, Tutoring, Multicultural Awareness, HIV/AIDS Education and Mentoring, and an Improvisational Theatre group called Streetwise.

All services of TAP are free and confidential. For more information please call 1-888-837-6687 or e-mail us at TAP.
