1. BLACK & WHITE GALA: On October 26, 2006 Seamen’s Society’s Second Annual Black and White Masked Ball brought together more than 300 friends of the Society at the Excelsior Grand The Gala benefited Seamen’s Society programs. Two outstanding couples were honored with the Society’s Safe Harbor Award: Jean and Sudhakar Prabhu and Joseph and Dorothy Conti. Ms. Prabhu and Mr. Conti have each chaired Seamen’s Board of Trustees. Board Member Jon Del Giorno and Annette Angiuli, a Staten Island Friend, served as Gala Chairs. The success of this event is largely due to their hard work and extraordinary creativity. They were ably assisted by Linda Herschfeld, Assistant Director of Development, and members of Seamen’s staff Diana Hendrick and Doreen Montalvo. The third annual Black and White Masked Ball is scheduled for Thursday, October 25 2007 at the Excelsior Grand. Please save the date.
