Education Bound provides tutoring services to school age children and youth involved in any program of Seamen’s Society. Volunteers from the community, local schools, colleges, and staff, provide this help. We also assist youth in preparing for the PSAT and SAT exams and can help youth with academic difficulties to explore career and vocational opportunities.

In addition, our youth can qualify for scholarship assistance to attend college or vocational school through funds raised in the community.

The LABB is an after-school program where youth learn basic computer skills, web page design and access to the internet for school and educational purposes.

We have two LABB sites - one at our Brownsville office in Brooklyn on Pitkin Avenue and the other at 25 Hyatt Street in St. George on Staten Island. Youth from the community have access after school to the LABB five days a week. Last year we served over 400 youth.
